A light-filled Nipomo home reimagined for easy, elevated living — layered blues, collected keepsakes, and a keepsake gallery that turns family history into the room's focal point.

The Transformation

A great room with great bones, given a soul

The homeowners had downsized into a newer build with great bones but no soul. A deep navy sofa grounded the space, paired with slipcovered chairs and a custom built-in that houses the television alongside the family's collected books and objects.

Soft layered rugs, warm brass, and a mix of textures brought the warmth the room was missing. From there, the redesign flowed through the dining niche, kitchen, sunroom, primary bedroom, and hallway — each space carrying the same language of collected blue-and-white ceramics, natural materials, and pieces that mean something.
